Is Your Child Exposed to Too Much UV
Golfclubs365.com / 2011-05-30

Many golf fans may play on course with their children, and usually these parents will equip children with golf junior equipments, but there's something neglected: Is your child sun protected?

Children playing on course 10:00am to 4:00pm when UV rays are at their highest are in danger. A person's risk for melanoma doubles if he or she has had five or more sunburns at any age.

UPF measures how much UV light it blocks. A 1 over the UPF number demonstrates the maximum amount of UV rays coming through the fabric.

UPF:A relatively new rating designation for sun protective textiles and clothing is UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor). Unlike SPF (Sun Protection Factor) that measures only UVB, UPF measures both UVA and UVB.

SPF is the measurement of how long you can exposed in the sun without burning. If you  burn in 10 minutes, a sunscreen with a 15 SPF would protect you 15 times as long,  without you sweating or getting wet.

UV light is found in sunlight and is emitted by electric arcs and specialized lights such as black lights. It can cause chemical reactions, and causes many substances to glow or fluoresce. Most ultraviolet is classified as non-ionizing radiation. The higher energies of the ultraviolet spectrum from about 150 nm ('vacuum' ultraviolet) are ionizing, but this type of ultraviolet is not very penetrating and is blocked by air.

Clothing appears to provide some protection against ultraviolet radiation (UV), which is not workable always. The average T-shirt only provides an ultraviolet protection factor (UPF) equivalent to a SPF 7 sunscreen.

It is never too late to start taking better care of soft skin! Some golf accessories like clothing, umbrella are made for sun protection on course.have been specially developed to include chemical UV absorbers that prevent penetration of UVA and UVB rays. Other than that, sun cream is also a convenient way of sun protection.

Parents' love for little golfer is not only providing the golf equipment to him but also something else which can keep your child far away from danger.

I would like to recommend the good TaylorMade R9 460 Driver and Ping G15 Irons to you!

I purchased these to have something more forgiving since I was playing Ping I3 blades. Since I don't play as often I decided to buy something that would dampen mishit. I have a personal driving range and I found that my swing fault followed me, go figure :) Anyway, my 1st round was a disaster, but it wasn't the clubs. After the disaster I practiced all week with them, along with a major revision in my setup and shot 73 in my second round with them. So, they were redeemed. One thing I've noticed is that the offset is hidden well in the design of the club. I have never cared for offset, but it's almost invisible in this club. They feel really good in my hands and the thicker sole from the Ping's now seem normal.
