2011 Callaway RAZR Hawk Driver Review
Golfclubs365.com / 2011-06-29

Today there are incresing number of people began to concern about golf sports. And more and more people are playing golf on the weekend. Here, I am very glad to talk to you some thing about the golf clubs.

With the new Razr Hawk, Callaway have teamed up with Lamborghini cars to produce the head material that they've labeled as forged composite. If you're all about distance, Callaway has the Diablo Octane driver. But if you like to draw the ball around a corner or fade it into the short grass, the company now offers the RAZR Hawk Driver.

This Callaway golf club sets feature a Forged Composite in the sole and crown that constitutes 70-percent of the clubhead's construction. The Forged Composite is lighter and ber than titanium, allowing for a longer clubhead that results in faster clubhead speeds and more forgiveness.

The RAZR Hawk uses its new forged composite to lower overall weight, but more importantly, to use some of that saved weight in specific places to increase forgiveness. Repositioned weight is also used to allow for Draw and Neutral biased models. The driver tested here was a neutral 9.5* RAZR Hawk.

For the first time both the sole and the crown of the new RAZR Hawk Driver is made from Forged Composite material. The weight savings and ability to mold a unique shape for better aerodynamics are what make this Callaway's premium line of drivers.

It also features a new aerodynamic shape that reduces drag by 43-percent over the FT-9 Driver for more distance. Hyperbolic Face Technology precisely controls the face thickness, resulting in consistently higher ball speeds across the entire face. The Tour model features a slightly higher center of gravity and a more open face angle for more shot-shaping capability.

The RAZR Hawk Driver has streamlined surface contours to reduce energy loss from drag during the downswing by 43% compared to the FT-9 Driver. This creates higher impact speeds for added distance. Overall the RAZR Hawk cheap golf clubs present a handsome appearance. While not pear shaped, the roundish clubhead shouldn't offend traditionalists and should appeal to a wide variety of players.

I purchased these to have something more forgiving since I was playing Ping I3 blades. Since I don't play as often I decided to buy something that would dampen mishit. I have a personal driving range and I found that my swing fault followed me, go figure :) Anyway, my 1st round was a disaster, but it wasn't the clubs. After the disaster I practiced all week with them, along with a major revision in my setup and shot 73 in my second round with them. So, they were redeemed. One thing I've noticed is that the offset is hidden well in the design of the club. I have never cared for offset, but it's almost invisible in this club. They feel really good in my hands and the thicker sole from the Ping's now seem normal.
