Ping G15 Irons are a set of game-improvement golf clubs that focus on giving a high degree of forgiveness with a very thin face. The weight distribution is largely around the perimeter, giving a high moment of inertia. The G15 set also focuses on giving consistent distance control and fairly high trajectories to improve iron play. The sole of these irons is very wide, which also contributes to a low centre of gravity and therefore higher-launching shots. They are available in the full iron range in every golf shop, including four types of wedge.
The biggest improvement from the G10 is that the Ping G15 irons are a bit more forgiving thanks to the moment of inertia increasing which Ping has achieved by introducing a custom tuning port that is further back from the face of the clubhead. This has allowed Ping's designers to remove seven grams from the G15's face custom tuning port structure without destabilizing the clubface or reducing distance control. This weight is repositioned to move the center of gravity lower and back in the club head to help provide high launch and optimal spin. The G15 also have a slightly thinner face design with more weight moved to the toe to help increase forgiveness and the lofts are stronger and the sole design slightly wider than on the G10 irons to help produce strong and high trajectory. The Ping G15 irons also have a full cavity graphics badge which helps to improve the feel of the club and promote a much softer feel.
The Ping G15 irons will attract a lot of converts. While you will not see the G15 irons in the bags of any tour professionals or many lower handicappers, these are golf clubs that any player in a golf shop seeking for an irons set of maximum forgiveness should seriously consider.

I purchased these to have something more forgiving since I was playing Ping I3 blades. Since I don't play as often I decided to buy something that would dampen mishit. I have a personal driving range and I found that my swing fault followed me, go figure :) Anyway, my 1st round was a disaster, but it wasn't the clubs. After the disaster I practiced all week with them, along with a major revision in my setup and shot 73 in my second round with them. So, they were redeemed. One thing I've noticed is that the offset is hidden well in the design of the club. I have never cared for offset, but it's almost invisible in this club. They feel really good in my hands and the thicker sole from the Ping's now seem normal.
