TaylorMade R9 SuperTri driver

The TaylorMade R9 SuperTri Driver offers terrific distance that is achieved through optimization. This club has a 460cc head and a lower cg, meaning long shots that get you to the green faster. This club promotes up to 75 yards of side-to-side trajectory change for straighter, longer tee shots. This piece of new golf equipment has a new aerodynamic shape with deeper face, meaning bigger hits with more spin, which carries the ball farther.

The TaylorMade R9 SuperTri driver, which combines FCT and MWT with three movable weights in a 460cc head, marks the ultimate unification of TaylorMade's major driver technologies with maximum size to deliver massive distance and forgiveness.

When the R9 and R9 460 were released TaylorMade's engineers had not yet discovered a way of combining the best element of both clubs. Now they have and the result is the R9 SuperTri. To allow a 460cc club head to accommodate both Movable Weight Technology and Flight Control Technology TaylorMade had to find a way of saving weight and they have managed to do this by using their own Ultra-Thin Wall technology more effectively throughout these golf clubs and reducing the weight of the Flight Control Technology mechanism by some three grams.

The large head of the TaylorMade R9 SuperTri driver is supremely forgiving and, with the centre of gravity shifted backwards, it's never been easier to launch the ball high and with more spin. The result is longer drives with the 75 yard side-to-side change of the Movable Weight Technology offer total control. Even off centre hits deliver excellent distance thanks to the Inverted Cone Technology at the back of the clubface which promoted faster ball speeds even when you don't hit it quite flush.

With cool looking and upgraded performance, there are all reasons for you to take seriously into consideration the R9 SuperTri driver. The R9 SuperTri is an excellent piece of golf equipment and the most advanced dirver that TaylorMade have ever produced and offers the level of high performance that you would expect from a TaylorMade driver.

I purchased these to have something more forgiving since I was playing Ping I3 blades. Since I don't play as often I decided to buy something that would dampen mishit. I have a personal driving range and I found that my swing fault followed me, go figure :) Anyway, my 1st round was a disaster, but it wasn't the clubs. After the disaster I practiced all week with them, along with a major revision in my setup and shot 73 in my second round with them. So, they were redeemed. One thing I've noticed is that the offset is hidden well in the design of the club. I have never cared for offset, but it's almost invisible in this club. They feel really good in my hands and the thicker sole from the Ping's now seem normal.
