Mizuno MX Series Iron Sets, including Mizuno MX-300 Irons, Mizuno MX-200 Irons, Mizuno MX-1000 Irons, all models are designed to conform to the 2010 Condition of Competition rule.
The MX-200 takes Grain Flow Forged forgiveness a quantum leap forward with the introduction of Y-Tune performance.

A deep pocket cavity, milled to preserve MX-200's one piece feel is complemented by a Y shaped reinforcement pad, extending a 5% larger sweet area* into the toe - matching the miss hit patterns of amateur golfers.
Enhanced solidity in the hitting area and an aggressive triple cut sole design ensures MX-200's place in the bags of both professionals and amateurs.
Custom set build available from 3-PW.
This model is designed to conform to the 2010 Condition of Competition rule.
The MX-300 was designed for players looking for the assistance of Mizuno's undercut cavity design and solid Grain Flow Forged feel – without the shotmaking constraints of normal cavity offset and sole width.
With address dimensions (top line, sole width, face size) falling squarely between the MP-52 and MX-200, and offset closer to MP characteristics , the new MX-300 offers a more solid feel and greater workability than any other iron in the MX line.

Dual Camber Sole
The full cavity utilized in the MX-300 irons also contains a reconfigured Y-TUNE Pro technology for enhanced feel and flight control. The milled pocket cavity (3-7) redistributes 12 grams of weight low and deep to provide a high penetrating launch, while the scoring irons (8-PW) utilize a solid power bar design for greater workability.
The sole of the MX-300 irons is dual cambered to minimize turf drag and digging through impact.
This model is designed to conform to the 2010 Condition of Competition rule.
Incorporating Mizuno's HOT METAL concept into iron design, the MX-1000 is for golfers looking for an extreme combination of distance and forgiveness.

High MOI Hollow Construction
Astonishing distances that push the boundaries of the R&A and USGA's performance limitations are achieved by plasma welding a thin, hot, ES230 maraging steel face to a 431 stainless steel body – a technique perfected in Mizuno's MP Fli-Hi utility iron.

HOT METAL Technology
The HOT METAL face is teamed with a hollow construction and internal weighting -encouraging strikes from a wide area of the face to hold their line with minimal distance loss. The hollow construction also allows weight to be engineered deep within the head for a naturally high trajectory – enabling the use of stronger lofts for even greater distance.
Aggressively bevelled lead and trailing edges effectively narrow the MX-1000's substantial soleplate, for clean turf interaction and use from a variety of lies.
This model is designed to conform to the 2010 Condition of Competition rule.

I purchased these to have something more forgiving since I was playing Ping I3 blades. Since I don't play as often I decided to buy something that would dampen mishit. I have a personal driving range and I found that my swing fault followed me, go figure :) Anyway, my 1st round was a disaster, but it wasn't the clubs. After the disaster I practiced all week with them, along with a major revision in my setup and shot 73 in my second round with them. So, they were redeemed. One thing I've noticed is that the offset is hidden well in the design of the club. I have never cared for offset, but it's almost invisible in this club. They feel really good in my hands and the thicker sole from the Ping's now seem normal.
