TaylorMade R9 Super Tri Driver
TaylorMade's R9 SuperTri TP driver combines the best of the original R9 driver with the best of the R9 460 driver to deliver a club that offers a maximum sized driver that delivers incredible distance and wonderful forgiveness. As well as boasting the maximum 460cc head the R9 SuperTri TP also features the winning combination of Flight Contorl Technology (FCT) and Movable Weight Technology (MWT).
The R9 SuperTri TP features the same head and fantastic features as the R9 SuperTri with the added benefit of the choice of up to ten different premium shaft options. These include Aldila Voodoo, Mitsubishi Fubuki and Matrix Ozik.
When the R9 and R9 460 were released TaylorMade's engineers had not yet discovered a way of combining the best element of both clubs. Now they have and the result is the R9 SuperTri TP. To allow a 460cc club head to accommodate both Movable Weight Technology and Flight Control Technology TaylorMade had to find a way of saving weight and they have managed to do this by using their own Ultra-Thin Wall technology more effectively throughout the club and reducing the weight of the Flight Control Technology mechanism by some three grams.
The large head of the R9 SuperTri TP is supremely forgiving and, with the centre of gravity shifted backwards, it's never been easier to launch the ball high and with more spin. The result is longer drives with the 75 yard side-to-side change of the Movable Weight Technology offer total control. Even off centre hits deliver excellent distance thanks to the Inverted Cone Technology at the back of the clubface which promoted faster ball speeds even when you don't hit it quite flush.
The TaylorMade R9 SuperTri TP golf driver also features a reshaped crown that helps to improve the aerodynamics of the club while also offering the deepest clubface that TaylorMade have ever produced in a MWT driver. The new shape is augmented by a black colour scheme that marks a welcome return for the black PVD clubface that so impressed in the r7 SuperQuad driver.
The R9 SuperTri TP is the most advanced dirver that TaylorMade have ever produced and offers the level of high performance that you would expect from a TaylorMade driver.
TaylorMade R9 SuperDeep TP Driver
The TaylorMade R9 Superdeep Driver is a player's driver that owes much to TaylorMade's rich heritage in the driver market. Tracing it roots through the 300 Tour, R510 TP and r7 425 TP the R9 Superdeep further enhances the R9 series of drivers.
The R9 Superdeep features a 460cc head and a 2.76 inch clubhead height - the exact legal limit as specified by the R&A. The R9 Superdeep draws its name from the ultra-deep clubface that measures 2.55 inches. Ideally suited to better players with strong swing the R9 Superdeep promotes low ball spin for extra distance.
Despite the increased height and depth the TaylorMade R9 Superdeep retains the compact look that lower handicap golfers demand at address while the design has moved the centre of gravity towards the front of the clubhead to offer increased workability off the tee.
As well as boasting the maximum 460cc head the R9 Superdeep also features the winning combination of Flight Control Technology (FCT) and Movable Weight Technology (MWT).
