Golf clubs are more expensive than other sports equipment. Why? Is its material, steel or graphite are much more expensive? That's not the case. In fact, the technology applied in producing golf clubs are the main costs. . And what makes the senior people like Tom Watson can play against the youth who may be only half of his age? It is the technology. What makes the golf become the rich's activity? It is the technology. Unlike basketball and football, golf clubs are more demanding in technologies that are why many big companies invest huge sum of money in it which results in the high cost. Many golf name brands such as TaylorMade, Callaway, Nike, Titleist, PING are making every effort to update their technologies in their products. And the new technology in a club can always be its unique selling points, such as the Ping Rapture V2 irons.

The Ping Rapture V2 Irons are some of the best game improvement irons you can buy. They are long, straight and forgiving. That's a combinaton anyone can appreciate. The Ping Rapture V2 irons leverage the multi-metal technology to not only launch the ball longer, but also higher and with more accuracy. Now you can hit those soaring iron approach shots that go high and long and yet land softly on the green. If you are sick of missing greens or facing those monster birdie putts, the Rapture V2 irons will quickly solve that problem.

The Rapture V2 irons have a dense tungsten sole weight which positions the center of gravity low and away from the face. This extreme toe weighting optimizes the launch angle and provides for a consistently high yet penetrating trajectory. All this innovation is only made possible by the lightweight titanium face insert that allows more weight to be shifted out to the bottom and perimeter areas of the clubface. All this means better iron shots that are much easier to hit.

I purchased these to have something more forgiving since I was playing Ping I3 blades. Since I don't play as often I decided to buy something that would dampen mishit. I have a personal driving range and I found that my swing fault followed me, go figure :) Anyway, my 1st round was a disaster, but it wasn't the clubs. After the disaster I practiced all week with them, along with a major revision in my setup and shot 73 in my second round with them. So, they were redeemed. One thing I've noticed is that the offset is hidden well in the design of the club. I have never cared for offset, but it's almost invisible in this club. They feel really good in my hands and the thicker sole from the Ping's now seem normal.
