Let's share TAYLORMADE r7 CGB Max Irons together

When I read golf club reviews I tend to take them very lightly until I get a chance to try the clubs for myself. I understand that when someone buys a set of clubs that they have invested their hard earned money to get their new clubs. I read where the CGB Max irons were so very straight and how long they were and I thought how could they be any different than any other top line club. Well folks I am here to testify that these irons are different and not by just a little. My normal 6 iron was 170 and now my normal 6 iron is 190 and that distance gain plays through the whole set. The best part about these cannons is how extremely straight and easy to hit they are not to mention they are the best looking iron set on the planet. I cant wait to get used to hitting a pitching wedge 135 and I have restructured my other 2 wedges (Cleveland) to account for the added distance. Get yourself a set of these cannons and I promise you will not need another set of irons ever. By the way I am a Cleveland Golf guy from way back but better golf is better no matter who makes it. Hey Golfsmith offered a 15% discount a few weeks ago so I bit the bullet and got mine,

I first saw these clubs at a Golfsmith Store. My first reaction was "WOW". These are one of the best, if not the best, looking set of irons I have ever seen. However, you don't buy clubs for appearance sake. After driving the customer service staff crazy at Taylor Made with a multitude of questions, I decided to bite the bullet and buy these clubs. I purchased them with a regular flex steel shaft. Even though I am in my mid 50's I am still not at the point of using graphite on my irons. My driver swing speed is in the low to mid 90's and the steel shafts on these clubs are pretty light. I have tried at least 7 or 8 different sets of irons over the last year and nothing compares to these in the least. The set up inspires confidence. A smooth swings sends the ball high and straight, and I mean straight. Even though the flight is high it is a boring type of trajectory. Not even the slightest hint of balloning. These are diffenitely clubs built for a mid to high handicapper. I have a handicap index of 15. You won't be able to work these clubs too much. Yes, you will be able to work them some, surprisingly enough. The price is high but you will not need to purchase another set of irons for years to come, if ever. They are so easy to hit they should be illegal!

everything from ball control to distance is just perfect... I hit a lot of clubs before i used this set and i just couldn't get my hands on the right iron..... It was like trying to make a monkey a horse with other clubs... I just kept hitting them and hitting them trying to make myself like them... Then i started hitting the TM's and let me tell you it was like night and day with other clubs... I'm a big believer that a person makes the shot not the club but in this situation... it is a combined effort... these clubs are just great.... thanks tm for another perfect product!!

I purchased these to have something more forgiving since I was playing Ping I3 blades. Since I don't play as often I decided to buy something that would dampen mishit. I have a personal driving range and I found that my swing fault followed me, go figure :) Anyway, my 1st round was a disaster, but it wasn't the clubs. After the disaster I practiced all week with them, along with a major revision in my setup and shot 73 in my second round with them. So, they were redeemed. One thing I've noticed is that the offset is hidden well in the design of the club. I have never cared for offset, but it's almost invisible in this club. They feel really good in my hands and the thicker sole from the Ping's now seem normal.
