One thing about Ping is that the company depends on its quality to drive its business. There isn't much advertising or hype associated with the brand, so any Ping G15 driver review is naturally going to focus solely on how well it performs rather than any cool new promotional campaign. The G15s are not cheap golf clubs but worth the money.
The Ping G15 driver is engineered for golfers seeking a maximum forgiveness driver that delivers distance and accuracy. Its elongated 460cc titanium head features an external sole weight which positions the center of gravity for a higher trajectory and reduced spin. A larger face is designed to optimize ball speed and provide consistency across the entire hitting surface. Shaft Options: TFC 149D Shaft: Premium graphite shaft designed by PING utilizes high balance point technology. This technology allows our engineers to increase the head mass approximately 5 grams without increasing swing weight or overall club weight so the players club head speed is not affected. This results in higher ball speeds and increased MOI which yield longer and straighter drives. Aldila Serrano 60 Shaft: Premium graphite shaft designed by Aldila provides a great fitting alternative to the TFC 149 family. This shaft will generally provide the golfer with a slightly lower launch angle and spin rate.
The Ping G15 driver performed as advertised. It was long. It was straight. It was forgiving. But my problem with PING has never been performance. The G15 performed as advertised. It was long. It was straight. It was forgiving. But my problem with PING has never been performance. If you have always liked PING, the G15's improved performance should be in your bag soon. These are not cheap golf clubs, but they are one of the best driver on the market.

I purchased these to have something more forgiving since I was playing Ping I3 blades. Since I don't play as often I decided to buy something that would dampen mishit. I have a personal driving range and I found that my swing fault followed me, go figure :) Anyway, my 1st round was a disaster, but it wasn't the clubs. After the disaster I practiced all week with them, along with a major revision in my setup and shot 73 in my second round with them. So, they were redeemed. One thing I've noticed is that the offset is hidden well in the design of the club. I have never cared for offset, but it's almost invisible in this club. They feel really good in my hands and the thicker sole from the Ping's now seem normal.
