Buying a set of started clubs enables you to become accustomed to them; enabling you to concentrate on your swing instead of wondering how this set of miss-matched clubs you just rented are going to work out. If you are first starting out and don't know for sure if you are going to continue playing this game or not, there is an option to rent the clubs you want at the course, or invest some money to buy clubs made for beginners
Tourstage introduces its all new ViQ driver for the 2010 season. The new ViQ line for 2010 has been completely redesigned from the ground up with new technologies and performance features. Tourstage first focused on the design aspect of the new ViQ. The approached the design keeping in mind that golf is as much a mental game as it is physical and designed a new driver pleasing to the eye and easy to swing and square up visually with a gradient crown and gradient color shaft with grip alignment. A new face design with extra large sweet spot features variable thickness and back face grooves. This enhances not only feel but ball speeds and expands the sweet area by over 13% over the previous ViQ. The center of gravity is placed deep but at a spot that creates optimal trajectory and spin. The new vT-50w shaft was redesigned to not only be stable but reduce rounding on load and return quickly to its original shape to square up at impact. This 460cc conforming all Ti driver is available in 9.5 10.5 and 11.5* lofts with the mid kicking VT-50w shaft.

I purchased these to have something more forgiving since I was playing Ping I3 blades. Since I don't play as often I decided to buy something that would dampen mishit. I have a personal driving range and I found that my swing fault followed me, go figure :) Anyway, my 1st round was a disaster, but it wasn't the clubs. After the disaster I practiced all week with them, along with a major revision in my setup and shot 73 in my second round with them. So, they were redeemed. One thing I've noticed is that the offset is hidden well in the design of the club. I have never cared for offset, but it's almost invisible in this club. They feel really good in my hands and the thicker sole from the Ping's now seem normal.
