The Ping Rapture V2 Irons result from Ping's investment in multi-metal technology that combines the key properties of various materials to deliver a club set that produces an optimal performance. The Rapture V2 iron is made up or a tungsten sole weight, a titanium face and a stainless steel body to allow for an innovative game improvement design.
Oversized, maximum forgiveness iron. Lightweight titanium face frees weight which is re-allocated on the wider sole in the form of tungsten to position CG for higher launch and increased MOI.
High launch angles allow for stronger lofts to increase distance without sacrificing control. Deeper CustomTuning Port (CTP) with elastomer insert stabilises face for solid feel and consistent response across the club face.
The Ping Rapture V2 Irons result from Ping's investment in multi-metal technology that combines the key properties of various materials to deliver a club that produces an optimal performance. The Rapture V2 iron is made up or a tungsten sole weight, a titanium face and a stainless steel body to allow for an innovative game improvement design. The lightweight titanium face allows weight to be relocated to the wider tungsten sole that positions the centre of gravity ideally for a higher launch angle and increased MOI. As a result the Ping Rapture V2 can incorporate stronger lofts to increase distance without sacrificing any control. The incorporation of a deeper Custom Tuning Port with elastomer inserts increases face stability for a solid feel and a uniform response across the whole clubface.
The Ping Rapture V2 Irons are fairly large in size, and that would be a drawback. However once you hit them, you will never noticed their size again. They could perform wonderfully for you. And if you want to cut down some cost, try to find V2 irons sold at discount golf prices online.

I purchased these to have something more forgiving since I was playing Ping I3 blades. Since I don't play as often I decided to buy something that would dampen mishit. I have a personal driving range and I found that my swing fault followed me, go figure :) Anyway, my 1st round was a disaster, but it wasn't the clubs. After the disaster I practiced all week with them, along with a major revision in my setup and shot 73 in my second round with them. So, they were redeemed. One thing I've noticed is that the offset is hidden well in the design of the club. I have never cared for offset, but it's almost invisible in this club. They feel really good in my hands and the thicker sole from the Ping's now seem normal.
