I have to tell you , The new Callaway Diablo Edge Fairway Woods are the longest, straightest steel fairway woods we've ever made, with distance gains of 10-12 yards over Big Bertha Diablo. That's not just better, that's a game changer.
The ultra-thin VFT face creates hotter ball speeds for longer, more consistent distance. The clubs also feature the highest MOI ever in a Callaway fairway wood for improved accuracy. Diablo Edge Fairway Woods are slightly larger, feature proven Callaway core technologies and possess the deepest CG ever in a Callaway fairway wood, producing long, high trajectories. The Diablo Edge Tour Fairway Woods have full hosels, a smaller more conventional head shape, and the lowest, shallowest CG of any Callaway steel fairway wood ever, providing skilled players with strong, penetrating trajectories.
Greater Forgiveness
With more weight positioned in the extreme perimeter of the clubhead, Diablo Edge Fairway Woods have the highest moment of inertia (MOI) ever in a steel Callaway fairway wood. That means less clubhead twisting at impact and, therefore, greater forgiveness.
VFT Face Pattern
Delivering higher ball speeds for increased distance, the new, more aggressive VFT face pattern makes these fairway woods dramatically hotter.
High, Distance-Enhancing Trajectories
The standard Diablo Edge Fairway Woods feature the deepest center of gravity (CG) of any fairway wood Callaway has ever made for high, distance-enhancing trajectory. The Diablo Edge Tour Fairway Woods have the lowest, shallowest CG of any steel Callaway fairway woods ever made for a flat, penetrating ball flight that is preferred by better players.
Just like you, Callaway Golf is always looking to raise its game. Callaway believed in helping golfers of all skill levels find more enjoyment and success in the game, and Callaway carries on that tradition with a passion for the game and a mission of helping you and every golfer enjoy the sensation of striking the ball perfectly.

I purchased these to have something more forgiving since I was playing Ping I3 blades. Since I don't play as often I decided to buy something that would dampen mishit. I have a personal driving range and I found that my swing fault followed me, go figure :) Anyway, my 1st round was a disaster, but it wasn't the clubs. After the disaster I practiced all week with them, along with a major revision in my setup and shot 73 in my second round with them. So, they were redeemed. One thing I've noticed is that the offset is hidden well in the design of the club. I have never cared for offset, but it's almost invisible in this club. They feel really good in my hands and the thicker sole from the Ping's now seem normal.
