Golfclubs365.com / 2011-01-23

The Callaway Diablo Octane Driver brings a revolution with its new technologies. It is lighter, faster, and stronger, and will help golfers drive more distance of an average of 8 extra yards than its predecessor can not. Forged Composite, a unique new material from Callaway allows superior distribution of clubhead mass, compared with all-titanium drivers. The result is a lighter clubhead that retains an extremely high MOI. Callaway's drivers are always the ones that you should give a try in the golf shop.

Forged Composite: insubordinate latest element which is lighter, stronger than titanium. Crown contains 10 million turbostratic CO fibers which have up 33% of a club head. Lighter club head enables a longer bar pattern for faster conduct speed as well as round speed for up to 8 one more yards over Diablo Edge Driver. Hyperbolic Face Technology as well as containing alkali logging routine selectively removes additional element for pointing density carry out opposite a face. Callaway Diablo Octane Driver creates consistently tall round speeds for prolonged distance.

The longer, high-performance shaft is designed with feedback and input from our Tour pros and is the ideal complement to the Diablo Octane Driver to maximize performance and enhance feel. The increased overall club length helps you achieve greater head speed and more power at impact in the Diablo Octane Driver.

Callaway's latest driver, the Callaway Diablo Octane Driver, is made with a very specific player in mind. "It's really designed for the guy who is interested in distance, distance and more distance," says Dr. Alan Hocknell, Callaway's senior vice president of research and development.

I purchased these to have something more forgiving since I was playing Ping I3 blades. Since I don't play as often I decided to buy something that would dampen mishit. I have a personal driving range and I found that my swing fault followed me, go figure :) Anyway, my 1st round was a disaster, but it wasn't the clubs. After the disaster I practiced all week with them, along with a major revision in my setup and shot 73 in my second round with them. So, they were redeemed. One thing I've noticed is that the offset is hidden well in the design of the club. I have never cared for offset, but it's almost invisible in this club. They feel really good in my hands and the thicker sole from the Ping's now seem normal.
