For me, it is an easy club to hit and the ball flies off the club head. The only downfall is it is difficult to not hit it straight. If you want to hit a draw or fade it often just goes straight anyways.
I have a natural draw and still able to coax it out of this club. The square head my be a little distracting but I use the FTi square driver so it was not a problem for me. If you want to go straight give this club a try.
I have played three rounds with this club straght as an arrow. Very forgiving.
Callaway advertises this fairway wood as being exceptionally straight hitting and forgiving of off center hits. It has added length to my fairway shots and I can depend on performance even in windy conditions. This product is one that is easy to recommend.
I have the Driver and bought the FT-i Squareway Wood to match. I like the club and it matches my Driver. I am satisfied. Callaway Woods are great.
f you like square head fairway drivers then this is the club for you because on the positive side...it swings really smoothly and you can really hit it far. Just make sure you are comfortable with the look of the club before you buy it!
For me, it is an easy club to hit and the ball flies off the club head.
Very forgiving. As far as shot shaping not that seasoned of a player to notice. I have a natural draw and still able to coax it out of this club.
I like everything about it, its appearance which promotes confidence, its fine grip, its weight.
I must say out of previous fairway woods I have owned, I really do believe that the FT-i Squareway woods take the GOLD medal. I have absolutely zero negatives to say about the clubs.
Much better condition than expected, it looks almost new, original club head cover.
The squareway woods are a big help to ensure a proper line up for your shot.
this club is a great club.hit the ball very strait and can get 200yards out of it..i love it. my favorite club in my bag..
i got this club not long ago it is amazing its always dead straight apart from the 2 yard draw which is my natural hit but it just goes and goes. it also looks amazing from the top when you are setting up.
Finally got out today and hit the Callaway FT-i Squareway Wood. I really enjoyed the way the ball came off the club head. Very little sound at contact and no vibration on impact. I am a 87-93 stroke player and these clubs I think will help me when I am in the rough.
This club is so great I bought the 3 wood and 5 wood. I have never before had so many Eagle chances from the par 5s. Club is very easy to hit and feels great off of the club face. Looked everywhere when I was going to purchase the 5 wood, and was priced at $209. I came across golfclubs365 and saved $100, plus I got free shipping. Arrived at my door step 3 days later. Can not beat that! Lowest price on top quality equipment with great service!
Very long and very consistent. Great feel and sound with some decent workability. I don't know about 300 bucks but the 1 dollar offer with the FT-IQ driver was well worth it!!
3-Wood is the hated club in my bag. I never have been able to hit any 3 wood. SUPER slicer. Got it for $1 during buy a driver sale at Callaway. Different profile thant most 3 woods. seems to be flatter. When hit correctly, to goes great. It has a "plock" sound like a hollow wood block. Not the usual "plink" sound of my old 3-wood. Really square shape. Couldn't find the ball (topped) with the face of the club for the first few rounds after putting it in the bag
Callaway FT-i Squareway Fairways woods. New for 2008 season the FT-i Squareway is the largest fairway wood that Callaway have ever built Callaway shocked the golfing world with its square FT-i driver as the first company to do it - and now it's following it up with a set of matching woods - known as the Callaway FT-i Squareways. With an unparalleled resistance to twisting, resulting in greater forgiveness and straighter shots, FT-i Squareway Woods combine Callaway Golf's market leading Inertial Design and Fusion Technology. Positioning weight in the extreme corners of the steel and carbon composite head creates enhanced stability at impact and longer distance. The FT-i driver set a new standard in driver performance in 2007 and the new FT-i Squareway Woods will do the same for fairway woods. With an MOI approaching that of Callaway Golf's best-selling drivers, the FT-i Squareway Woods utilize Fusion Technology to provide unprecedented accuracy, forgiveness and stability for longer, straighter shots off the tee or from the fairway.
I have purchased the FT-i 3 Wood and I also have the FT-iQ Driver and I really like them both. I have changed several times looking for the driver and a 3 wood that I liked. They are both very helpful to the constant "slicer" but I don't think any one club with fix a slice by it self --- although the FT-i's have really helped me overall.
