A stainless steel head adapting modern driver head features to fairway woods. Callaway Big Bertha Fairway Woods boast larger head volumes (202 cc in the 3-wood) and shallower face designs for increased forgiveness and confidence at address.

Increases the moment of inertia (MOI) by reducing twisting on off-center hits, resulting in straighter shots.

Longer, Shallower Face With Lower Leading Edge
The Callaway Big Bertha Fairway Woods with larger effective hitting area makes it easy to get the ball airborne for optimum trajectory. The longer face (from heel to toe) increases MOI while the lower leading edge is designed to increase confidence at address.

Modified Consistent Alignment Sole and Correct Alignment Strip
The Big Bertha Fairway Woods clubhead rests on two distinct areas of the sole, eliminating the tendency of the head to rock back and forth, helping ensure that shots start on-line. The sole also provides improved turf interaction from a variety of lies. The Correct Alignment Stripe works in conjunction with the Chevron logo, allowing golfers to consistently square the club face at address to ensure correct alignment.

  I don't have much to say about the Callaway fairway wood except that if you purchased one I know you will love it. It is easy to hit and you can work your ball anyway you like. I found out that if you use the Big Bertha golf ball you will like the response even more.

  I would sometimes hit 290 with my old Callaway. With the Callaway Big Bertha Diablo Fairway Wood I hit a 300 shot at least once a round. People at the range pause when they hear the peculiar "tank" sound, and watch range balls disappear into the trees at the end of the range. It's fun, but almost too long for par 4's.
